The Cable Guy

Hi,

I am currently a cable/internet/phone tech, i used to be just the cable guy/and used to back in the day the delivery guy for pizza and chinese food. Tips are always welcome, but in today's world - hard to come by due to economy. But if someone goes the extra mile for you, does ur requests on doing something extra for you,,, something of a tip should be something that u should do for that person. I used to deliver pizza till my car broke and then deliver chinese food,, i went over and then some to make sure u got ur pizza within 5-10 mins after coming out of the oven, got tipped pretty good. The chinese food - not as good. Well I have been the "cable guy" for the past 8 years and u know the tips are there. Cust. ask for almost everything, run new wires, put the modem, tv box in places that don't have wires or just not easy to run a wire, set up every computer in there house by wifi but comp's are so outdated that they need to upgrade, new tv, want HD on a tv that doesn't support HD, etc. Yet, most don't want to tip, well guess what, ur cable guy is paid by the hour with one comp, but yet other company's he/she is paid by the job = which means the longer u keep them there the less they make. But yet u don't tip. Now u know why we don't call u back when u complain about something about ur service. Along with u being a pain about the service, what i had to do just to get ur service just to work at all.

I go the extra mile for every customer, but if i do something extra for you just to make u happy,,, u could at least offer my a nice COLD bottle of water,, YEA offering my the warm one that u have sitting in the garage,,,, REALLY, could u grab a glass, some ice and at least make it cold. If i refuse - then my problem. If i did ur little exta request,,, how about a couple bucks for lunch since i missed it cause i had to try to do stuff that i am not suppose to do, but didn't want a bad review.

so anyway, u don't realise what we have to do, but if that person goes out of their way to take care of u, hook u up, then take care of them A.K.A. TIP!!!!
